Good taste – glad we didn’t fork out $10 for the naan
And a side of the gobhi matar was also delicious
I ducked out for a club sandwich for lunch one day whilst wifey had a lazy day in the room
We sucked up the $15 room service charge and had food delivered that night.
The chicken biryani was a miss – the chicken just didn’t quite taste right. I saw this brought out a couple of times whilst we were at Rangali Bar and noted I also missed out on the condiments which was disappointing.
Leslie’s spag bol meanwhile was great
98% sure this was 3 nice slices of eye fillet (hot tip – the beef on the breakfast buffet at atoll also seemed to be using fillet)
Leslie had a caesar wrap and we also shared the cold tomato soup with lobster in the background. Both were devoured!
Next day at The Quiet Zone it was another steak sandwich for me
Whilst Leslie had the prawn and lotus root tempura – the wasabi mayo was a killer
This is the result (serving for 2). It was fantastic
yeah, it was way too much food, but i couldn’t bear to see it go to waste!
I would suggest passing on the popcorn shrimp.
Duck curry was yummo
Leslie’s gnocci was devoured
Had the fish of the day one evening – no complaints
Fish curry was better though
Can’t say no to a deep fried wanton
Maldivian interpretation of a quesadilla
Fish we caught the previous night on our sunset fishing excursion (serve for 1 person) – not as good as the first catch.
We spent most nights eating at Rangali Bar as it fit our budget. With a bit of better planning we probably could have sprung for another meal at a different restaurant. Whilst the food was perfectly good for ‘pub grub’ as we say down under, the food at Mandhoo and Vilu was a notch above (with prices to match)
