Skyline Suite, Pan Pacific Singapore

Home / Hotels / Skyline Suite, Pan Pacific Singapore
A quick trip up to Singapore, and leaving booking to literally the day before meant choices were limited.

For this trip I chose the Pan Pacific Singapore in Marina Bay in order to continue trying out the options available in Singapore. The room wasn’t available after arriving from HKG but on my return to the hotel around 6pm I was informed not only had I been upgraded, I had been upgraded to a Skyline Suite. Sweet!

The welcome screen in the bedroom

Lounge/ dining area – totally wasted on my solo trip – a staycation with the wife would’ve appreciated the space more!

minibar, coffee machine etc to the left

Looking back towards the entrance of the sitting room

There was also a halfbath to the right of this entry door

The photos of locals going about their daily business was a nice way to break up the room

Did i mention there were 2 doors to choose from when entering the room?!

Cheeky little iphone para of the room

Bedroom by day. I’m sure the ladies would appreciate the mirror and chair for getting ready

And the space by night

The wardrobe space

The bathroom was as big as some hotel rooms ive stayed in. Might be time to get a gopro instead of the awkward arm too!

Despite being on the end room, there was no view out to Marina Bay. Instead I took this view in the hallway- both day and night to show the contrast

Some heavy duty geometry looking up

Had a quick workout in the gym to attempt to atone the many many beers in HK. Funnily enough the Irish 7’s team were also in there at the same time – it appeared the Pan Pacific was the official hotel of the 7’s that weekend.

A different view of 3 of Singapore’s main tourist attractions

One night I decided to stay in the hotel for dinner. After a wander through the extensive buffet, I decided I couldn’t justify the $70++ and headed back to the room for dial in.

I think the club sandwich thing started following a trip to Prague with Burnsy and a USD$30 Hilton version – this one was quickly forgotten.

Looking down onto the lobby bar

The elevators to the higher floors were on the outside of the building, and all glass, allowing great views such as this one of the pool and Marina Mandarin in the background

These outdoor elevators also looked directly across to the conrad

Whilst I paid alot for the room – i certainly didn’t pay this much!

Final impression

This is another large chain hotel in Singapore, but vastly superior to the Swissotel which I had stayed in but a brief week prior.

Despite the thousands of rooms in Singapore, there do appear to be times when they fill. Receiving the comp. upgrade it’s hard to compare value but I’d definitely be keen to return, and check out the Club Floors.
