I found the concourse at Hong Kong to be a hive of activity, and a bit of rabbit warren of ‘lanes’ throughout the gates. Luckily Singapore Air’s lounge is right next to the gates I have always flown from.

Shower was plenty big, and particularly welcome after a full day in the office

With the refurb of the lounges these work pods have been rolled out

The hot food was changed over about 10 minutes after I got to the lounge – nice and fresh

Still in reasonable condition, especially compared to some of the other flights I had been on recently

I do like the new refurbished seats on SQ, however that footwell is just way too small!

The sensible ones spread out towards the back, whilst I watched a boy climb over and across seats, much to the chagrin of the FA’s.

Cabin was pretty empty on tonight’s flight

The PM departure allows a full day of meetings in Hong Kong, and with the efficiency of the airport express you can be across to the airport from downtown very quickly.

The downside is that with the flight time you end up arriving into Singapore quite late and don’t get a fantastic night’s sleep even after the efficiency that also occurs at the Singapore end.
